A network is a group of connected computers that allow users to share information and equipment. A computer network is a collection of two or more computers with communication between them through a radio waves, wires, infrared, optical fibers etc. The use of computer network is to database server, computer server, email, chat, internet etc. You can also use a network to share information with other people.

The computer to which the resources are attached is called the server and the other computers that access the resource are called clients. The computer networks are classified, depending upon the size, as Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN) and Personal Area Networks (PAN). Computer networks may be classified according to the network topology upon which the network is based, such as Bus network, Star network, Ring network, Mesh network, Star-bus network, etc. The networking hardware basically consists of wiring, network cards and a hub.

In the network services or system, you connect the printers to the server and share it with all the clients. So, the clients can use that printer and there is no need for individual printers for each computer.

WLANS wireless networking type is very popular in home networking. A wireless network is also save your time and efforts in installing the lot of cables. Wireless networks are classified, depending upon the size, as Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANS), Wireless Metropolitan Area Networks (WMANS), and Wireless Wide Area Networks (WWANS).
