How to lock folder in PC without any software and password

There are many types of software available for lock or protect our folders. Here is a simple method to lock the folder without any software and password.
1. If you want to lock a folder in D Drive named articles2u (D:/articles2u) which contains your confidential data. Go to folder D and create a new notepad file.
2. Type ren articles2u articles2u.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} and save this file as log.bat or any other file name with “.bat” extension.
3. Again create another notepad file.
4. Type ren articles2u.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} articles2u and save this file as key.bat or any other file name with “.bat” extension.
5. Both batch files should be in the same drive where the folder is situated.
6. To lock your folder (articles2u), double click lock.bat and your folder will change into Control Panel and nothing inside can be viewed.
7. If you want more security than keep these bat files as hidden.
8. If you want to open the folder then double click key.bat and your folder will return to normal.
