Microsoft unveils Windows 7 to replace Vista

Microsoft has officially unveiled its next operating system Microsoft Windows 7. The new Microsoft Windows 7 will replace the disappointing Windows Vista in January 2010.
Microsoft showed an early press-release version of Windows 7 to the developers at Professional Developers Conference 2008. It looks more like Windows Vista.
Windows 7 will also feature faster boot-up times, an updated task bar that includes previews of open windows, a new desktop look and a set of features optimized for laptops. The new desktop includes a thicker taskbar, improved system tray and no sidebar
The next version of Windows will support touch-screen capabilities
