When I visit a website, I like to see cool colors, convenient navigation and easy to find information. At times I do come across good sites but some of the sites that have unnecessary pictures, too bright colors, unwanted animations, a puzzle of navigation links give a very repulsive impression. My first reaction on such sites is to quit asap. Perhaps such sites do not have useful information and try to depend on colors and pictures that have no meanings to the visitor.

If for example, a person comes to a website looking for symptoms of hepatitis but finds the pages cramped with pictures that have no relevance to hepatitis, would not like to waste time in searching and waiting long enough for the pages to load. He will simply quit. Simple designs but easy to use sites are likely to draw more visitors. Just look at Google and compare it with others. You would know what I am trying to say.
