Windows Live OneCare safety scanner is a free online service designed to find and fix safety and performance issues on your PC. It is a free web service that is part of Windows Live.

A free online virus scanner from Microsoft that cleans your system from viruses, spyware, malware, and other threats and also recommends ways to improve the overall performance. It also gets rid of junk on your hard disk.

Free Windows OneCare scan via an ActiveX control. You need Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows Server 2003, or Windows 2000 Server. You also need either Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or MSN® 9.0 or higher.

Use the full service scan to check everything. To help fix particular problems on your PC, turn to the individual scanners – protection, Clean Up, and Tune UP.
