Cable TV is a system of providing television to consumers via radio frequency signals transmitted to televisions through fixed optical fibers. Compared to cable TV, DTH is much costlier. In Taluk places or villages cable TV is the cheaper one. People still pay Rs.50 to 100 rupees in villages for cable TV.

Cable TV can provide more number of channels that too with lowest subscription amount than DTH. Cable TV operator tries to provide 400+ channels i.e. more than DTH. Some cable TV operators also provide internet service on their cable network.

The overall Cable TV market is growing. Now cable TV reaches village area also. Last year cable TV network starts on my village.
