Largest consumer durable maker Videocon Industries plans to launch its direct-to-home (DTH) television service in India under D2H brand. Their DTH services will be launched somewhere around the April of this Year. The tag line of Videocon D2H DTH service is “Direct Hai Correct Hai”.
Videocon D2h will be the seventh company to enter the DTH space in India. Currently six companies are offering DTH services in the country including Dish TV, DD Direct Plus, Tata Sky, Airtel Digital TV, Big TV and Sun Direct.
The service will use the Israeli Satellite ST1 and MPEG-4 technology. It has 6 transponders in ST1.
