Google announced the launch of real-time quotes for NASDAQ listed stocks on Google Finance.

NASDAQ OMX Group Inc. has begun a six-month pilot program to provide real-time stock quotes for NASDAQ, New York Stock Exchange and American Exchange listings. Google Finance taking part in the pilot program in order to offer users free access to real-time stock quotes.

For buying or selling shares on the stock market, share holders need real-time stock quotes. Most share brokers charge their clients extra cost for a live stock market quotes. Google will continue to provide the real-time stock quotes service to users for free.

Google Finance offers information about stocks, mutual funds, public and private companies. This service also features business and enterprise headlines for many corporations including their financial decisions and major news events.
