Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited, in association with the Indian Dental Association (IDA), has launched a free dental check-up programme as part of its Oral Health Month 2009 initiative. The programme was being implemented in 1,000 towns and cities in India with the participation of 15,000 dentists. The free check-ups available till the end of this month.
Oral Health Month is organized with the main objective of improving the oral health awareness and condition around the world. Since its first implementation in 1998, it has reached out to millions of people in a lot of countries, worldwide. In 2008, 81 countries conducted the event, including key countries in Asia, like China, India, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.
