Adobe system announced the launch of an online document editing and sharing beta site - Acrobat.com. Acrobat.com is a set of online services - file sharing and storage, PDF converter, online word processor, and web conferencing.

Acrobat.com currently has 5 different web applications: Adobe Buzzword, Adobe ConnectNow, Create PDF, Share file service, and My Files.

Adobe Buzzword - Creating and reviewing documents together. It is online word processing software.
Adobe ConnectNow - Meet live over the web and share your screen with anyone.
Create PDF - Convert up to five files to Adobe PDF online. Convert documents and pictures files to PDF.
Share - Send files to others for easy access while you maintain control.
My Files - Store your files online for easy access from anywhere.

The Adobe AIR version of Acrobat.com allows you to dragging and dropping files and folders from your local computer directly into your Acrobat.com account, and browsing, previewing, sharing or publishing files easily from your computer. Adobe’s AIR platform allows developers to create web applications that run on your desktop without the need of a web browser.

Acrobat.com is currently available in U.S. English only. You can sign up for free at www.acrobat.com.

Adobe system also introduced an upgrade of its Acrobat software - Acrobat 9. The free trial of Adobe® Acrobat® 9 software will be available soon.
