Dubai may be one of the cities in the world that developing so quickly and rapidly. Dubai already has world’s largest mall, world’s largest water tower, and the world’s largest indoor ski park, now plan build World’s Largest Arch Bridge.

Dubai is set to invest $817-million on building the world’s largest arch bride, at 617-feet tall and 1-mile in length. The bridge connects the Bur Dubai and Deira areas of the city.

The firm FXFOWLE has designed world’s largest arch bridge in Dubai. The Dh3-billion project will take four years to build. Expect it to be in service by 2012. FXFOWLE’s design makes the 6th Crossing the largest and tallest spanning arch bridge in the world.

Here some info on the bridge:

- It’s one mile long and 670 feet tall.
- It will have 12 lanes for traffic, six lanes in each direction.
- It will cost 817 million dollars.
- The design has Sheikh Mohammed’s official stamp of approval.
- The bridge will carry more than 2,000 vehicles per hour in each direction.
- A metro line will run across the middle.
- The metro train will carry 23,000 passengers an hour across the bridge.
- Construction begins in March, with a slated completion date of 2012.
