mChek - Payment service through mobile phones
mChek, a provider of mobile payment and security company has introduced the payment service through mobile phones. It provides smart and simple way for users to make payments using their mobile phone and a credit card.
mChek enables airline ticket booking, bus ticket booking, insurance payments, prepaid recharging and mobile bill payments through mobile phones. It supports all mobiles and works on all networks. There is no need to GPRS connection for transaction. mChek is an ISO 27001, PCI-DSS 1.1 certified m-commerce company, funded by Draper Fisher Jurvetson.
In India, mChek is executing a pilot project and will go live this year. The service is initially available to all customers on Airtel with Visa or MasterCard credit cards and will subsequently be expanded to customers of other telecom operators as well as to debit card holders.
mChek has tied-up with Yatra.com, Sify, India times, Future bazaar, Redbus ( online bus ticket booking portal) and Makemytrip.com. They also tied ups with SBI, ICICI, HDFC and Corporation Bank.
