tata logo Tata DoCoMo launches GSM service in Tamil Nadu and KeralaTata DoCoMo, the joint venture between Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) and NTT DoCoMo of Japan, has commercially launched its mobile phone services based on the GSM technology in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Sources said the company has also plan to launch GSM service in Orissa and Karnataka in the next 10 days.

The whole of South India would be covered by TATA DoCoMo within 15 days and they plan to cover the whole nation – India by the year end of 2009.

Now, TTSL has become the second telecom service provider after Reliance Communications to be providing services on both CDMA and GSM platforms.
