    Hi,

Tata Indicom has changed its Pay per Call Plan a bit. Actually, the advertisement’s according to today’s Kolkata Leading Daily Anandabazar Patrika a popular Bengali Newspaper gives a “Regret Letter” saying that it has been their fault to publish the advertisement. Rs.96(For old /existing customers of Tata) easy recharge was changed to Rs.254. Now, in the previous amount Re.1 was given as talktime while in this new amount Rs.54/- is given as talktime. I have personally done the easy recharge a few minutes ago which was successful thought Tata Indicom website’s easy recharge option as I have a Net Banking A/C.

Others who don’t have one and maybe interested can also do it with a specified bank’s Debit Cum ATM Card. Come to think of it, it is not bad actually. In the previous plan if we calculate then = Rs.96 and Re.1 comes to Rs.95 ie.1 days rental (as they said that Re.1 /day deduction). In any case we would have to recharge with Rs.29/-for daily decrement of Re.1/- (if we take in a/c Rs.96 voucher) and then Rs.24(Topup) which comes to Rs.96-1=95+29 (daily decrement)+24 (topup)=148/- *.

I specified Rs.24/- as Topup since as I calculated that the New Rs.254 easy recharge is giving the same amount as talktime. Now,in the New Rs.254/- voucher, they are already giving a talk time of Rs.54 which means daily decrement of Rs.1/day = Rs.30 and Rs.24/- as talktime, which means we are getting a free talktime of actually approx.4 hrs.for local call and 2 hrs.for STD Calls. Not very bad,for the first month for those who does not like too much talking on the Mobiles/Phones.

*In the previous plan if we take a closer look and adjust the Topups to Rs.154,then actually we are giving Rs.100/- more.

I think this changed plan is also not too bad either.
