Simple Map - Free Sitemap Generator for Search Engine Optimization
A Sitemap is an XML file that lists the URLs for a site along with additional information about each URL: when it was last updated, how often it changes, and how important it is in relation to other URLs in the site. This helps search engines to index all pages of a website.
Simple Map is a free open source site map generator that lets you build a sitemap easily. You can generate a site map with just a command and edit the generated document from within the built-in viewer (or any text or XML editor), and then upload it directly at the root of your site.
Free sitemap generator will also create an html sitemap which you can use for visitors of your website. It may display links, titles, descriptions or other info.
Site maps can improve search engine optimization of a site by making sure that all the pages can be found. The webmaster can generate a Sitemap and submit it to search engines. The XML format is now supported at least by Google, Yahoo, Live Search, and Ask. You can submit sitemap (sitemap.xml) to search engine in three ways: Register at the site of the search engine, Ping request or Robots.txt file.
