Google has announced their new project named Google Gears. This product is designed to enable the web users to use Google services offline. Google gear was come into existence on 31st May 2007.

Google said that the service would allow users of computers, phones and other devices to manipulate Web services like e-mail, online calendars or news readers. One of the most important features of Google Gear is that runs online and offline. This facility helps users to continue their work even when net connectivity is not available.

Gears works across all platforms: Macs, Windows, and Linux with Firefox or IE. Now, Google has offer Google gear to mobile phone users. It would work with Internet Explorer on Windows Mobile 5 and 6.

Google Gears is free and open source software. Google working with some of the partners Adobe, Mozilla and Opera software to develop Gears is the right solution for everyone. Opera was the first mobile web browser to adopt Google Gear immediately.
