It is manufactured by the Reva Electric Car Co, in Bangalore, India. Reva Electric Car Company is a Joint Venture Between Family Owned Maini Group and AEV of United States. Currently Reva electric Car is the highest selling electric car in the world.
REVA is a two-door hatchback, which can comfortably accommodate two adults and two minors. It costs just 40 paise for a km (less than 1 US cent). It has the lowest running cost in the world. The average running cost of a petrol car is Rs.4.0 per km. Top speed of this car is 80km/hour. In India, the car is priced similarly to the Maruti 800/Alto car.

Main disadvantage of this electric car is you can’t find any recharging stations rural area. Electric two wheelers have been a big hit in China rural areas. Some government announce subsidy for buying electric car.
